We design, build and care for the land around Los Angeles' most private homes, so the outdoors feels as considered as the rooms inside.
Blackrock is one studio of landscape designers, builders, pool specialists and gardeners. A single project lead stays with you from the first walk of the property to the season the garden comes into its own.
We work on a small number of estates at a time, which is how the details stay right.

Every Blackrock crew arrives in a marked vehicle, in uniform, at the time we agreed. Gate codes and keys stay with your project lead, and the site is left cleaner than we found it.
How a project unfolds.
01Walk the property
We meet you on site, listen to how you live and entertain, and study the light, soil, drainage and views before anything is drawn.
02Design
Plans, 3D renderings, plant palettes and stone samples, refined with you until every detail is settled. You approve a fixed scope before we build.
03Build
Our own crews handle grading, stone, pools, planting and lighting under one project lead, who sends you a progress update every week.
04Care
Weekly gardening, pool service and seasonal planting keep the property as it looked the day we finished, and better as it matures.
Our clients rarely appear in magazines. They prefer it that way.
